BFM Ltd is the trade association of the furniture
manufacturing sector representing around 350 member companies involved in a
range of furniture manufacturing sub-sectors such as domestic, contract, cabinet
and upholstery.
Since 1995, the organisation has provided a range of
environmental, health and safety services for members. Full details are provided
on the "Services" page. BFM Ltd retains EHS
consultant Alistair Bromhead for the provision of these services for members.
BFM Ltd also provides a variety of

Exhibitions:
organising the August Furniture Show at Earls Court

Exports: BFM
sponsors, with DTI support, groups of British furniture manufacturers at many
overseas shows and outward missions each year.

information: collected and distributed to members on issues such as wage
surveys, order intake and export statistics.

Standards: BFM
ensures that the industry is fully represented on all relevant National (BSI),
European (CEN) and International (ISO) standards committees.

Training: BFM
Training is a leading training provider for the furniture sector. Based in
Leeds it has an extensive network of consultants covering the whole of the UK.
BFM is a partner in the Furniture, Furnishings and Interiors National Training
Organisation
FFINTO the body responsible for the strategic developments of the
industry's employees.
