Manual handling

Train the trainer course

A two day course to provide managers with the competence to assess handling risks &/or implement manual handling training programmes.

This course provides detailed training on anatomy and base movement – to enable managers to understand and explain to others the key aspects of the human form which affect the ability to lift. Legislation and risk assessment are also covered, along with practical information on training techniques.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to design, implement and evaluate short awareness sessions in manual handling issues and conduct manual handling risk assessments.  This individual will be able to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.
