Process guidance notes

A number of furniture manufacturing processes become subject to Local Air Pollution Control (LAPC) when they reach a certain size. Such processes must be authorised by their regulators - local authorities (England and Wales) and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency. Companies are required to upgrade their processes to meet the best practice standards laid down in the relevant process guidance note. The main notes of interest for furniture sites are listed below. Click on the note for a fuller explanation of their requirements. A full list of published notes is available at: http://www.defra.gov.uk/environment/airquality/lapc/pgnotes/
